Now I really really want a pony heist movie. Sure, like half (two thirds really( of the jokes would have be rewritten to be acceptable for target audience, but its just so much fun! Story has a nice quick rolling energy to it. Though it does drag a few times. Just not sure what you could cut or compress to fix that. A few spots that were still a bit mean for my tastes. At least for the main show characters. Still, all the ponies were fun and felt accurate. Which is kind of hard for a wildly silly comedy like this one, but the author pulls it off. A perfect story? Heck no. But it was a fun one and the author remains a master of the text cut away scenes. If you like whacky comedies, you should try this one.
A bit simple, formatting has a few rough spots where a empty line should have been and wasn’t, but overall a pleasant read. I reread Maidens Day right before this and this didn’t suffer from the comparison. Not that its as good. Not as long, or as involved, but some stories would seem even worse coming right after a great story like that. This one just seemed a bit simple. If you are a fan of Applejack and Rainbow Dash romance and don’t mind little context free slice of life vignettes, give this a try.
I was expecting a shallow throw away joke story, but this was actually a fun read. Undead Rainbow Dash was hilarious and all the mane six were well characterized. Still a fluffy comedy, but the author put actual effort into it.
