Pony Stories 411

13 May

Would Princess Celestia ever wear sunglasses? Or does she just turn down the sun when things are too bright? Or does she just wear sunglasses when she needs to look cool. Or wait, is that what the conflict between the sisters was all about? Princess Luna wanted the cool sunglasses and Princess Celestia would wear them and turn the sun up really bright during the summer and Princess Luna was stuck with the dorky sunglasses.

Where does my brain come up with this stuff?

Anyway, today we’ve got four stories all by the same author. A bit out of order, I read them mostly after another but they are a few stories down the list. I also didn’t read them in this order as far as I know. Chaos and anarchy when I go against the order of things! Just wanted to keep going with the whole one author per post thing started yesterday. Tomorrow I’ll probably do another three stories by yesterday’s author as well.

  • Daring Do(esn’t Need a Special Somepony) by Fahrenheit
  • Records of an Academy Disaster by Fahrenheit
  • Hurricane Watch by Fahrenheit
  • Thrice At Sundown by Fahrenheit

Daring Do(esn’t Need a Special Somepony) by Fahrenheit

One of the best Daring Do stories I’ve read. This should totally be turned into a animated short or an episode. Lots of fun, with cool romance bits mixed in.

Records of an Academy Disaster by Fahrenheit

This was glorious. It was hilarious and perfectly done as a series of letters. You should go read it.

Hurricane Watch by Fahrenheit

Huh. The tags and description for this story are actually a bit misleading. This is basically a straightforward adventure short story. A good one too. Placed soon after the founding of Equestria. I’d recommend it.

Thrice At Sundown by Fahrenheit

This should have a sad tag instead of the tragedy tag. Very much is a sad story. Not pointlessly, like some sad stories. Certainly not sad for the sake of sad. Just a few glimpses of a situation that wrenches at the emotions.
