My victory against sleep is assured now! I’ll go to bed after writing this, several hours earlier than usual, get a full night’s sleep and wake up early and refreshed! Surely this time it will work perfectly! Or at least get me back to functional during the daylight hours. In pony news I just watched the most recent episode and thought it was pretty good. Typical but fun grist for the worldbuilding mill.

Some light comedy. First story I’ve read with Starlight Glimmer as part of the group. No, wait, second. I forgot Shub-Cadath. Anyway this was an amusing read. I liked the idea of Starlight sitting in a plastic chair at the council of friendship table while the rest have their thrones.
(later edit: Of course now that we have seen the first episodes of season six we know what the real curse of the alicorns is. The inability to do any magic except laser beams.)
One of the more interesting Starswirl backstories I’ve read. Well, at least the fine details were interesting. The time travel spells have always prompted the idea that he is from the future on a fairly regular basis. I find it amusing how prominent Starswirl has gotten considering that his introduction to the show was a joke about him being so obscure nopony except the thousand year exile Princess Luna recognizes and/or knows about him.
On one hand this story has a very silly premise. On the other hand, I felt it was a proper Optimalverse story as well. Not really a goofy style comedy mind you. More of the nature of a silly premise written completely straight. Well, mostly. It does have CelestAI comment on a hentai the main character is masturbating to in one scene.
Hee. Funny story, mostly because Sweetie Belle on the warpath is such an adorable mental image.
This might be one of the better Changelings trying to fit into pony society stories I’ve read. Which is kind of silly considering it is a very short silly story about Changelings hiding in books to feed on the emotions of the ponies who read those books. Better than the first one, though you should read it first to get eased into the concept.
