Pony Stories 596

The problem with having 200+ mods for Fallout 4 is that when something small glitches I have no idea where to even start to fix it. Still, lots of fun stuff has gotten added so it is a trade-off.

  • Memories of Shadow by Distaff Pope
  • Spike’s Slightly Dangerous New Hobby by FrontSevens
  • Changing One’s Mind by Jay-The-Brony

The Last Days Of The Kingdom of Equestria by bigbear

A bit telly. Which is hard to avoid in a story like this that is just one big lump of exposition. We get told this and that but never really seen or told the reasons why. There are some really good bits. Like Spike saying the recording device was based on a Sparkle array and the Gryphon reporter saying nobody calls them that anymore. That exchange gives a real nice peek into the world when placed in the context of what they are talking about. Huh. Just realized that I don’t know if Twilight is dead or still alive but in exile or something.

Memories of Shadow by Distaff Pope

Princess Celestia brainwashing a career criminal into a new law abiding citizen with a new past. It did prompt a thought that I bet Celestia would actually be okay or even encourage the type of gentleman thief that this main character is. Only steals from the rich, never hurts anypony, is a bit theatrical. Would give the citizens some excitement, would give the police and/or royal guards practice, and have clever minded Ponies around just in case Princess Celestia needed a clever criminal mind for some reason. So the take away from he story is I got inspired for an idea that contradicts the premise of the story.

Spike’s Slightly Dangerous New Hobby by FrontSevens

Fun Twilight overreaction story. Plus a heartwarming lesson at the end when she realizes that she had gone overboard with things. Pity about Ponyville though.

Changing One’s Mind by Jay-The-Brony

A decent story. Very much a reaction fanfic against the episode in question. Perhaps reaction is the wrong word. A follow-up story.
