Pony Stories 820

Huh. Got a huge spike of views on the 24th. Guess people noticed I posted something on the 23rd or something. Anyway, semi-regular blogposts continue. In other news, been playing and even running a lot of online one-on-one D&D. It has been a lot of fun. Which throws a sharp contrast to my Tuesday in-person group, which hasn’t been fun for like three sessions. Ugh. Stupid interpersonal interactions. I really don’t want to email the guy running and tell him I want to step out until we start a new game.

Non-pony review: We Are Bob

Beep boop. Man, the time flies when completely consumed by something non-productive online. Today a science fiction story I liked but did not finish.

Pony Stories 819

So very easy to fall off the wagon. One day passes, then I realize it’s the end of another day I didn’t do anything… Then I take a overnight trip to see The Bobs at one of the stops on their farewell final tour. Poof.

Pony Stories 818

So, this youtube clip from the movie is Tempest’s big song number. So, spoilers. Also the best musical bit in the movie my opinion. Anyway! I realized it’s the perfect example of how the animation bothers me. Tempest is a pony with a snout and chin. Whereas Twilight is basically just a human face with a slightly square nose. I much prefer my ponies to be, well, ponies.

Pony Stories 817

Well, I read the prequel comics for the movie. Didn’t really grab me. I didn’t get anything from them that my brain hadn’t extrapolated and/or assumed from the movie. I still have the same opinion of Capper and the storm king. Still the low opinion of Tempest and my headcanon is that she got found by the storm king pretty much right after running away. Falling under his influence when she was young, emotionally unstable, and frightened is really the only reasonable explanation for her behavior in the movie.
