So, any authors out there want a total reviews for each other tally on the big master review list? It would have to be way over on the very right edge of the big master review list, but I’m pretty sure I could pull it off. Just not sure how useful it would actually be. Except maybe as a way to keep score to see who has the most overall reviews. I mean I’ve already got total reviews by story and by reviewer. Those are both simple to display and actually useful. Oh, and another question that will impact some of you. Decided to create a master review list bookshelf that I’m going to be adding stories to in bunches on a semi-daily basis. Probably ten or so a day. Should I add an author’s stories all at once? Spread them out so each author only gets one notification a day? Should I just start experimenting on you authors with lots of stories and see who complains the most? Pretty sure that would be the scientific way to do it.

I’m not sure why, but I get strangely fascinated whenever I stumble across a ‘I am leaving Fimfiction’ post. I never really look for them, but occasionally I check an author page of a story I just read and find they’ve done the ‘I am leaving and here is why’ last blogpost thing. I always end up reading the whole thing even if it’s someone I don’t know and/or just found. Not sure exactly why. A glimpse into someone else’s viewpoint? Or perhaps a glimpse into a side things I so rarely see. I tend to not notice a whole lot of drama and stuff like that even in the places I frequent. Just don’t interact with people often enough to catch that sort of thing. I just do my own thing and semi-obsessively maintain spreadsheets of hopefully helpful information for people. Then again, when I had a minecraft server up I ran into major drama like three weeks into inviting other people that ended up with everyone leaving and me shutting down the server. So… I think I’ll stick to the spreadsheet. Nice objective information nicely sorted into columns and rows. So simple.

Anyone want to recommend a story that might make it into the 300th slot? I mean I’ve got a backlog now, but I’ll read and review any recommendations right away. Of course if someone else comes out with a a big review post in the next day or two they will get it. I’m thinking the reviewer side of the “big prize” will be the opportunity to inflict a book/story on me. Whatever the winner wants, I’ll read from start to finish. The story side of the prize is gonna have to wait until after the holidays, so it’ll be a secret a bit longer. Just be glad it wasn’t one of today’s stories that got the 300th spot.

Recent checked Stuff Prereaders Say to see what had been added since I last was there. It’s really weird what my brain picks to be a prude about. I just don’t like the word that goes where I put ‘stuff’. The human brain, is anything so messed up as it? Anyway, hilarious stuff as usual. Higher ratio of funny to just silly, which was nice. The moral of the story is that CiG is, in fact, the fount of all awesome. Or something. I’m not sure any moral can actually get within ten feet of that particular chatroom. Once again reminding me that having social interactions with people can be good! I should get back to actually trying to do that more.

Then it’ll probably zoom right up past it since I’m holding off adding a couple of review sources until after that happens. Just to see what story gets the 3k spot. Because big round numbers are the key to everything. Oh, and hope those of you doing the turkey day thing are having a good Thanksgiving.
